'Ember & Basil Pizzeria started with a clear vision: to introduce genuine Neapolitan pizza to Naples. Established by the Bianchi family in 1987, our eatery began as a cozy, family-run spot built on time-honored recipes.
Luigi Bianchi, our founder, mastered the craft of pizza during her journeys across Italy, training with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the cradle of pizza. After returning to the UK, she set out to recreate the spirit of real Italian pizza, using traditional techniques and the finest ingredients.
What started as a humble 12-seat pizzeria has grown into a cherished neighborhood favorite, yet our dedication to quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We still rely on wood-fired methods, prepare our dough fresh every day, and source the best ingredients we can find.
Today, 'Ember & Basil Pizzeria is still family-owned and operated, with the second generation of the Bianchi family guiding our devoted team. While we welcome thoughtful modern touches, our core stays the same: serving delicious, authentic pizza that brings people together.
